Annual tree planting at Balakhani polygon for waste utilization
Following the yearly tradition of greening the Balakhani polygon for waste utilization, a total of 1000 trees were planted by IDEA, “Tamiz Shahar” JSC and Ministry of Economy.
The polygon was created in 2009 and has since been treating Baku’s municipal waste. It should be noted that the leachate water from waste at the polygon is purified and reused for watering trees in the area.
