Initiated by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva "Bizim həyət" (Our Yard) project successfully continues to improve and renovate old yards in Baku.  

The sixteenth yard improved within "Bizim həyət" project opened at 39, 41, 46, 51, 53, 55, 55/57, 57 Bahruz Nuriyev street in Nizami district on 18 February 2019.

The aim of the project is to upgrade yards that need restoration, increase areas of greeneries in the city and create more comfortable living environments for residents.

Surrounding the multi-story buildings, the yard features a new landscape design, two outdoor chess boards, two football fields, public workout area, children's playground covered with soft flooring surfaces, fourteen gazebos and benches providing comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities. The outdoor sports equipment has been specifically placed to create social fitness experience for people of all ages enabling them to lead active lives.

At the request of residents, façades and entrance areas of buildings have also been renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing greenery, 100 new trees and shrubs have been planted, as well 800 sq meter lawn has been put in the yard. Additionally, surveillance cameras were placed in the yard to ensure safety of residents.

"Bizim həyət" project is planned to cover all districts of Baku. Suggestions and requests on the yards that need a renovation like this can be sent to IDEA Public Union.
