On 16 December 2019, another residential park unveiled within IDEA’s "Bizim həyət" project that is aimed at improving and renovating old parks in Baku.

Opening ceremony of the park took place with participation of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva, who planted trees together with volunteers.

Surrounded by multi-story buildings with 1300 residents, the improved park is located at 84, 86, 88, 90, 92 M.Sharifli street of Nizami district.

"Bizim həyət" project aims to upgrade residential parks that need restoration, increase areas of greeneries in the city, promote social fittness and create more comfortable living environments for residents.

With mini-football field, outdoor chess board, public workout facilities and children's playground, the new park provides comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities, and enables all ages, especially the young people, to engage in physical activity. Additionally, 14 gazebos, numerous benches and waste bins have also been placed in the park.

At the request of residents, new lighting was installed in the area, as well as buildings’ façades, roofs and entrance areas along with all front doors have also been renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing greenery, 50 new trees and flower plants were planted and 8330 square meter lawn was laid in the yard. Additionally, surveillance cameras and fire hydrants were installed to ensure safety of residents.

The project is planned to cover all districts of Baku. Suggestions and requests on the parks that need a renovation like this can be sent to IDEA.
