Initiated by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva "Bizim həyət" (Our Yard) project successfully continues to improve and renovate old yards in Baku.

Improved yards within "Bizim həyət" project opened at R.Mammadov street in Nizami district and J.Hasilov street in Sabail district on 12 March 2019.

The aim of the project is to upgrade yards that need restoration, increase areas of greeneries in the city and create more comfortable living environments for residents.

Surrounding multi-story buildings with more than 2,000 residents, the yard features a new landscape design, outdoor workout facilities, chess board, children's playground, gazebos and benches, as well as surveillance cameras providing safety and comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities.

The outdoor sports equipment has been specifically placed to create social fitness experience for people of all ages enabling them to lead active lives.

At the request of residents, façades and entrance areas of the buildings have also been renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing greenery, 200 new trees and shrubs have been planted, as well 1,000 sq meter lawn has been laid in the yard.

"Bizim həyət" project is planned to cover all districts of Baku. Suggestions and requests on the yards that need a renovation like this can be sent to IDEA Public Union.
