On 16 June 2015, upon the initiative of the Ganja Resource Center of IDEA Public Union and with the support of Ganja Executive Authority, a cleanup action was organized around the lake located in the Heydar Aliyev Park complex.

During the action, more than 100 volunteers of IDEA Public Union, who were furnished with all the necessary sanitary equipment, cleaned the area, assorted the collected waste and submitted it for reprocessing.  

Along with cleaning the surroundings of the lake, the goal of the event was to involve the youth in keeping the nature clean as well as to appeal to people not to pollute the environment.

The action was highly appreciated by the city community.

It should be noted that, by organizing regular cleanup actions at various locations, IDEA Public Union strives to prevent pollution of the environment. In this context, a cleanup action on the banks of the Ganja River was held in March of the present year, on the occasion of International Day of Action for Rivers. In addition, IDEA Public Union carries out similar activities on Baku beaches every year, before and after the beach season.
