Cracking art and Samani international art exhibition opened

 

The official opening ceremony of Cracking Art and Samani International Art Exhibitions was held in Heydar Aliyev Center’s park on March 18.



Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva participated in the opening ceremony.



The famous Cracking Art Group artworks are demonstrated in the Center’s park. The exhibition of giant artworks made in pop-art genre has been organized with the official partnership of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union. This project is aimed at solving ecological problems in Azerbaijan and drawing people’s attention to the protection of flora and fauna. Founder of IDEA Leyla Aliyeva got acquainted with the exhibition along with kids that visited the park.



Cracking Art Group was established by six European painters Renzo Nucara, Marco Veronese, Kicco, French Alex Angi, Belgian Carlo Rizzetti and William Sweetlove in 1993. This movement is aimed at changing people’s imagination about the modern art and creating novelties in art by implementing innovative methods in social and environmental directions.



The painters make giant and brightly colored animals using recycled and easily disposed synthetic materials and focus public attention on environmental issues. Cracking Art artworks both draw attention to the environmental issues and demonstrate the application of new technologies.



Cracking Art Group creations has conquered a number of cities so far. The artworks have been demonstrated in New York, Sydney, Milan, and other cities.



On the eve of Nowruz holiday, the traditional Samani exhibition has also been launched in the Center’s park. Samani which is the symbol of the holiday was presented in modern art style. The exhibition brings visitors the holiday mood and gives them a chance to see artworks which shows a modern approach to the traditions of Nowruz holiday.



The visitors danced to cheerful music and took pictures with the exhibition artworks. During the event, they also took a quiz and the winners were awarded different prizes.
