IDEA constantly conducts environmental projects not only in the capital city of Azerbaijan, Baku, but also in other regions of the country. One of the target cities of the campaign is Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan. Besides being one of the most ancient cities of the country, Ganja is also a youth city.  In November 2013, Ganja was announced the European Youth Capital for the year 2016.

The city has the largest park in the South Caucasus named after Heydar Aliyev. The entrance of the park has been specially designed with trees with the slogan "Love makes nature grow" by the IDEA campaign.

IDEA placed wooden figures with the slogan "Together for the environment" in the center of the park. In order to protect migratory birds, IDEA birdhouses have been installed on many trees in the park. In addition, some rare tree species have been gifted by Vice-president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder of the IDEA campaign, Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva, to be planted in the area of the park. To call on people to keep the area clean, to reduce waste, reuse and recycle, special stickers have been placed on rubbish bins in the central parts of Ganja by the IDEA campaign. The campaign also provided bicycle lanes in Ganja, the first in Azerbaijan.

The main goal of the project is to motivate people to avoid polluting the air by switching from cars to environmentally friendly transport, such as bicycles. Besides, the IDEA campaign is going to open an IDEA Recourse Center in the Youth Center of Ganja soon. The opening of the center is planned for the beginning of 2014.
