The February eco-lab session of IDEA and Sevimli Bala kids club focused on water-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - Goal# 6 “Clean water and sanitation” and Goal# 14 “Life below water”.

This time, the young environmentalists learned about clean water and its importance to the people and fish. Kids experimented with different types of liquids, observed water movement through paper napkin and filtered polluted water using cotton pads. The session taught and encouraged children to stop polluting, conserve water and protect ourselves and our ecosystems. To promote a better understanding of the 17 Goals, the young participants were given special SDG coloring books at the end of the session.

The Ecological Laboratory is a monthly training session jointly launched by IDEA and Sevimli Bala kids club, providing opportunities and resources to extend the children’s knowledge and awareness of the environment.
