Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva announced the launch of a new global youth environmental campaign – IDEA.

On July 12, during her speech at the Museum of Modern Art in Baku, at the opening of the photo exhibition ‘Azerbaijan through the eyes of foreigners’ the Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva announced a global youth campaign for environmental protection under the title ‘International Dialogue on Environmental Action’ (IDEA).

The campaign IDEA provides for a number of actions aimed to attract the attention of young people and the international community to environmental issues and the need to protect the environment.

Launching the campaign, Leyla Aliyeva also officially launched the first campaign – photo contest dedicated to nature and the environment in Azerbaijan.

Currently, the country continues to implement numerous projects including the development of alternative energy and renewable energy sources, designed to improve the ecological situation in Azerbaijan and South Caucasus.
