Green Conversation Club – February session held

Continuing its mission as an organization that implements large-scale projects aimed at drawing youth’s interest to ecological issues and engaging them in environmental protection, IDEA has held another session of its Green Conversation Club on February 24, 2017.

With participation of 30 young people, the session featured an interactive discussion on a topic of sustainable management of construction and demolition debris.

A special guest Ray Nayler, from the US Embassy in Baku, who had previously worked in the recycling industry, was invited to share his experience. Mr. Nayler gave a presentation on how building materials are recycled and incorporated into new projects, thus keeping waste out of landfills and helping reduce the environmental impact.

IDEA Green Conversation Club project was launched in 2012 with the aim to promote environmental knowledge to young people and strengthen their foreign language (English) skills. The Club has become the ultimate training venue for young environmentalists and specialists to interact in English.

We invite everyone interested to join the Green Conversation Club, each session of which will focus on a specific environmental issue. Information about meetings will be regularly announced through IDEA’s online resources (www.ideacampaign.org, www.instagram.com/idea_campaign and https://www.facebook.com/ideacampaign.org).
