IDEA and “Sevimli bala” launched a joint Project “Ecological laboratory for children”

Within the framework of bilateral cooperation between IDEA and “Sevimli bala”, a joint project entitled “Ecological laboratory for children” was launched in January 2015. The Project is designed for the children aged 5-12 and features a series of enlightening events on environmental issues.

The project aims to facilitate deepening children’s understanding about the environment and nature, and to contribute to bringing up the young generation in an environmentally responsible manner.

In order to increase “young ecologists'” interest toward protection of the environment and add some fun to this activity, the trainings will include laboratory research, educational quiz and games, as well as some tools will be provided for constructing small artworks.

The first session of the Project will be held on 17 January and will be devoted to global warming issues such as ice melting, rising of the sea level, animal migration and methods for mitigating the negative effects of these occasions to the nature and the environment.

The training will be held at the IDEA Resource Center located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Those wishing to attend the session are kindly requested to contact IDEA offices (497-63-16). The public will be informed on the next trainings in due course.
