IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign which has already implemented a number of environmental projects in Azerbaijan, and beyond has organized an enlightenment tour to Balakhani Waste to Energy Plant on occasion of the World Recycling Day, which is celebrated on 15th of November 2013.

The tour aimed at raising awareness on domestic and industrial waste management, recycling procedure and forming green thinking among youth.

It also aimed at informing the young people about environmental projects implemented in the country, making them aware about the environmental problems and their solutions, and arranging their leisure time in an effective way.

The participants were provided with special clothing before they entered the plant. The expert of the plant gave an insight on the stages of the process of incineration of wastes and formation of energy as a result.
