On 2 March 2016, IDEA Public Union held a presentation of its activities for the students of Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science of Baku State University at the Resource Center located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The presentation was organized within the practice program of the faculty’s fourth-year students and covered 30 participants.

The event focused on IDEA’s projects in Azerbaijan and abroad, its international cooperation and results achieved over the 5 years of the organization’s operation. It was highlighted that, as a rule, the youth is the main driving force of IDEA’s projects and ensures their success. In this regard, students were informed about ways to be involved in IDEA Public Union’s activities.

At the close of the presentation, an interactive discussion with students was held, during which their questions were answered.

It should be noted that, as part of IDEA Public Union’s ecological education program, similar gatherings, scientific seminars on environmental topics, trainings, contests, presentations and lectures are regularly organized for students that study the environment and sustainable development as well as young individuals working in these fields. 

IDEA believes that such events are particularly beneficial in terms of engaging the youth, which studies environment-related fields, in the solution of ecological problems and activities implemented in this regard, as well as for increasing interest in their respective fields and demonstrating their indispensable role in environmental protection. 

Similar presentations are planned to be held throughout 2016 for students in other Azerbaijani institutions of higher education. Detailed information about these events will be made available through the media.
