The cooperation aims at raising environmental awareness, making environmental protection one of the focus of activities of AFFA and draw attention of footballers and football fans to environmental protection by implementing various ecological projects.

Both local and international projects are planned to be implemented as a part of the cooperation.

During Azerbaijan-Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan-Russia football matches that took place as part of World Cup-2014 qualifier, IDEA installed ‘green’ banners in the stadium and called on fans, who watched the match both live and away from the stadium, to take care of environment.

The two organizations will sign a respective cooperation agreement by the end of the year.
