The first-ever “Samani” International Art Contest has been held at the Heydar Aliyev Center on March 18.  IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union has also joined the contest initiated and organized by the Heydar Aliyev Center.

Leyla Aliyeva, the Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Founder of IDEA, has been introduced the contest-exhibition including various samani with different designs and shapes.

Being initiated by Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva the samani project IDEA submitted to the contest has attracted the visitor’s mind with its unical design. The art work has been made of recycled paper, metal, plastics and wheels. The engine set up in the center of the samani  is  driven by alternative energy sources. It includes artificial ventilation and is set in motion by cycling.

Made of waste, the art work  is based on the IDEA’s activity according to 3R prinsiples calling to protect the environment.

Additionally, the “Ecological responsibility agreement” presented together with the project to the visitors of the contest-exhibition, has attracted their interest. The person, who clicks the “agree” bottom at the end of the agreement, takes a responsibility to save the mother Earth, make efforts for the protection of the environment. Mrs. Aliyeva has firstly clicked the bottom.
