It is believed that love lock that sweethearts lock to bridge, fence, gate, or similar public fixture to symbolize their love brings them happiness. Typically the sweethearts` names or initials inscribed on the padlock, and its key is thrown away to symbolize unbreakable love.

Young people leave souvenirs of their love in public gardens, parks and elsewhere along with emotional writings.

The “Love tree”, a 2.5 meter high metal construction, had become an integral part of the seaside boulevard landscape and a permanent attraction for young couples who see padlocks as a token of their love.
