On 31 January 2020, another residential park unveiled under IDEA’s "Bizim həyət" project that is aimed at improving and renovating old parks in Baku.
Opening ceremony of the park took place with participation of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva, who planted trees together with volunteers.
Surrounded by multi-story buildings with 850 dwellers, improved park is located at 4A Rafig Isgandarov and 3, 3A, 5, 9 Aziz Nazarov street in Badambdar settlement of Sabail district.
"Bizim həyət" project aims to upgrade residential parks that need restoration, increase areas of greeneries in the city, promote social fitness and create more comfortable living environments for residents.
With mini-football field, outdoor workout facility, children's playground and a 160-meter bicycle lane, the new park provides comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities, and enables all ages, especially the young people, to engage in physical activity. Moreover, 3 gazebos, numerous benches and waste bins have also been placed in the park.
At the request of residents, new lighting was installed in the area, as well as buildings’ façades, roofs and entrance areas have also been renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing greenery, 130 new trees and flower plants were planted and a 600-meter lawn was laid in the yard. Additionally, surveillance cameras and fire hydrants were installed to ensure safety of residents.
The project is planned to cover all districts of Baku. Suggestions and requests on the parks that need a renovation like this can be sent to IDEA.
