On 25 February, the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts hosted a presentation of project "Eco House" by IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union, led by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva.

The event with involved up to 300 students informed in detail about the project.

The project, supported by Day.Az news portal, caused huge interest of the students, which was obvious with their numerous questions. The students expressed the willingness to participate in the project.

A similar presentation had been held at the Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University. It’s planned to present the project at other universities as well.

As part of the project, a sketch of environmentally clean houses with low energy consumption, waste utilization and other ecological factors will be prepared.

Young people between 18-30 ages can join the project. They need to register at idea.day.az and upload a sketch of the house in ".jpg" format with a small comment from 1 February until 10 March 2014. From 10 March to 10 Aprel, the best ten sketches will be selected via a voting over Facebook. The top ten sketches will be assessed by a jury.

Authors of the best three sketches will be awarded money in the amount of AZN 3,000, 2,000, 1,000 respectively.

In addition, a winner of the first place will be given the opportunity to have internship in one of the big construction companies abroad, and a winner of the second place – in one of the big local construction companies.
