The project “Let’s change every sheet of paper to a leaf” has ended
The project “Let’s change every sheet of paper to a leaf” which was implemented IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union, founded and led by the Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, “ASAN xidmət” and “Təmiz şəhər” OJSC has ended.
Within the project, which has taken a start on February 3, the citizens have delivered a huge amount of paper and paper products to the “ASAN xidmət” centers. According to the rules of the project, 1 tree is planned to be planted for 50 Kg paper. Thus, within the project, continued 3 months, 1576 trees were planted for 78 810 Kg paper.
As a result of the project tree planting action was held at the Balakhani landfill with the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, state and privet sector representatives, as well as individuals. During the action, close to the area of 5000 m2 was landscaped in the Balakhany landfill.
The purpose of planting trees in this area is to enrich of the air and make the soil of the area fertile, and contribute to the restoration of the ecological balance in the territory in this way.
