The second “Let’s protect leopards” summer camp has been given a start

 

The second “Let’s protect leopards” summer camp for school children has been given a start within the framework of "Protection of the Caucasus Leopards" project. The camp has been initiated by IDEA Public Union and World Wild Fund (WWF) Azerbaijan Office by the support of Heydar Aliyev Center and Ministry of Education. More than 30 school children from Masalli, Jalilabad and Yardimli regions took place in the camp held in Masalli.

 

The purpose of the camp, which will take place on 23-25 July, is putting environmental awareness among school children at early ages, enlightening them about importance of protection of these rare species which is living in nearby region.

 

During the camp pupils will participate in the seminars on protection of this rare animal, human and environment etc., and junior environmental researches, excursions and competitions.

 

It should also be highlighted that, the first “Let’s protect leopards” summer camp was organized in Masalli with the participation of more than 30 pupils from Lankaran, Astara and Lerik regions on July 9-11, 2014.

 

“Let’s protect leopards” summer camps are implemented as continuation of Caucasus Cat Summit initiated by IDEA Public Union with support of Heydar Aliyev Fond and Heydar Aliyev Center.
