On June 24, supported by the Council for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, IDEA Campaign presented its new joint project - Responsible Hunting - in cooperation with Regional Development Public Union (RIIB).

At the event, held in the Heydar Aliyev Center, a message from Leyla Aliyeva, the founder and head of IDEA, was read to the participants. In the message, information was given about the works carried out by IDEA towards protecting the biodiversity and the importance of implementing the project. It was noted that development of hunting in our country has led to creation of modern hunting farms as well as new jobs. However, the use of this field in such a manner as to cause injury to environment and killing, in a number of cases, of endangered animals is still being observed.    

The project, which aims to prevent hunting of lawful and prohibited species, including migrant birds, will start on next hunting season.

In the course of discussions, participants shared thoughts and expressed their support for the project.

Within the framework of the project, trainings will be arranged for the employees of hunting farms, awareness works conducted with hunters, special agitation materials prepared and meetings held with local communities. Webpages on social networks and a hot line will also be created for this purpose.
