Improvement of old yards within "Bizim həyət" (Our Yard) project led by IDEA Public Union, Cavan Youth Movement and supported by local District Executive Powers, successfully continues bringing joy to the citizens of Baku. 

On 6 November 2018, another renovated yard, surrounding multi-story buildings with almost 600 residents, was unveiled at 11 Afiyaddin Jalilov street in Khatai district.

The aim of the project is to upgrade yards that need renovation, increase areas of greeneries in the city and create more comfortable living environments for residents.

Remodeled with the support of Khatai District Executive Power, the 6.5 thousand sq meter yard features a new landscape design, children's playground and public workout area providing comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities. The outdoor sports equipment has been placed specifically to create social fitness experience for people of all ages enabling them to lead active lives.

At the request of residents, façades and entrance areas of buildings have also been renovated. Additionally, 50 trees have been planted, as well 600 sq meter lawn has been put in the yard. To ensure safety of residents surveillance cameras have been placed in the yard and connected to the system of the Safe City Automatic Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"Bizim həyət" project was launched at the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of IDEA, Leyla Aliyeva. The yard in Khatai has become the seventh yard improved within the project.

The project is planned to cover all districts of Baku. Suggestions and requests on the yards that need a renovation like this can be sent to IDEA Public Union.
