On March 14, on the occasion of International Day of Action for Rivers, IDEA Public Union, with the support of Ganja Executive branch held a cleanup action on the cost of Ganja River.

Almost 100 IDEA volunteers equipped with necessary sanitary tools cleaned up the costs of Ganja River.

Moreover, IDEA delivered special brochures highlighting the importance of keeping the rivers clean and effects of the pollution to people living on the banks of the river and close by enterprises.

The event enjoyed wide interest from public, media and local authorities, and was appreciated by the city residents.

The goal of the project was to mobilize community for saving the natural balance and for the protection of the rivers that play vital role in human life; restore the ecological balance of the area; contribute to the improvement of the environment; promote environmental culture and sense of care for nature among people.
