Improvement of old yards within "Bizim həyət" (Our Yard) project, initiated by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva, successfully continues bringing joy to the citizens of Baku.

On 4 January 2019, another renovated yard, surrounding multi-story buildings with around 4000 residents, was unveiled at 13, 16, M.Seyidov and 14, 16, 18, 20 A.Gulbabayev streets in Garadagh district.

The aim of the project is to upgrade yards that need restoration, increase areas of greeneries in the city and create more comfortable living environments for residents.

The 25,600 square meter yard features a new landscape design, 3 children's playground, public workout area (140 m²), football field (460 m²), outdoor chess board (35 m²), 3 street library units, event venue for 350 people, as well as 6 gazebos providing comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities. The outdoor sports equipment has been specifically placed to create social fitness experience for people of all ages enabling them to lead active lives.

At the request of residents, façades and entrance areas of buildings have also been renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing greenery, 515 new trees and shrubs have been planted in the area. Additionally, 8 surveillance cameras were placed in the yard to ensure safety of residents.

The new yard in Garadagh became the thirteenth yard improved within the project.

"Bizim həyət" project is planned to cover all districts of Baku. Suggestions and requests on the yards that need a renovation like this can be sent to IDEA Public Union.
