On May 11, at the initiative of the IDEA Public Union, the premiere of the documentary film “Son hədd” (The End of the Line) took place at the “Nizami” Cinema Center.

On April 22, 2016, a training dedicated to “Earth Day” was held by the IDEA Public Union.<br />Approximately 40 young people studying or working in the fields of environment, ecology, and sustainable development participated in the training held at IDEA’s Resource Center, located in the Zirə Cultural Center.

On June 16, a model public beach in the Shikh area, established on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, was opened for citizens. The opening of the vast free beach, covering approximately 5 hectares, coincided with the start of the beach season in Baku.

IDEA Public Union has once again obtained the status of the official coordinator in Azerbaijan for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) international “Earth Hour” campaign ([www.earthhour.org](http://www.earthhour.org)). Acting as the coordinator, within the framework of the “Earth Hour” campaign celebrating its 10th anniversary, IDEA plans to organize mass actions and events across the country.

The principles put forward at the international camp held in Gabala under the motto “The Role of Youth in Ecological Governance: Today and Tomorrow” should be accepted worldwide.

As part of the "IDEA Lectures" project, the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign organized a lecture on Monday in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Nuclear Weapons. The lecture took place at the Resource Center of the IDEA campaign, located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan.

IDEA represented at COP-28 held in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on December 4.<br />The founder and chairperson of the union Leyla Aliyeva, delivered a speech at a panel session on Empowering Women for Progress: Water and Sustainable Development Goals' under the supervision of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the President of the General Women's Union.<br />At the same time, IDEA provided information to visitors at the Azerbaijan Pavilion about the organization's efforts in the context of climate change.

The IDEA campaign (International Dialogue for Environmental Action), initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, announces an international photo contest called "The Earth Through the Eyes of Children" among children and youth in connection with June 1 – International Children’s Day and June 5 – World Environment Day.

IDEA Public Union has launched the project “The Road to Success” starting from April, aiming to encourage young people to specialize in the field of environment and to work in this area.

On April 27, 2012, the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the essay competition titled “Send Your Message to Rio+20” at the Hilton Baku Hotel.

In connection with the International Day of the Sea, as part of the Caspian Week celebrated in our country, a coastal cleanup campaign was conducted in the Jorat settlement of Sumgayit.

On October 9, residents of the Astara district — Böyükağazadə Natiq Nəbi oğlu, born on 22.10.1995, and Fərəcov Səməd Yaqub oğlu, born on 01.01.1995 — who were attempting to sell the skin of a leopard hunted in the territory of the Astara district, were detained by officers of the State Border Service.
