On July 16, 2014, on the initiative of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) Public Union, a new tree-planting campaign was held in the Narimanov district of Baku within the framework of the "Say No to Tree Cutting" program.

The reason for holding the campaign was the recording of the cutting of 13 trees at 67 Aga Nematulla Street on July 4, 2014, by the "Nature Emergency Aid" mobile team of IDEA Public Union.

During the tree-planting campaign, a total of 20 trees, including cypresses, Oriental plane trees, and mulberries, were planted.

The purpose of holding such campaigns is to help restore the ecological balance and protect the natural environment by planting trees, enrich the atmosphere with oxygen, and draw people's attention to the protection of greenery.

It should be noted that the "Say No to Tree Cutting" program is implemented jointly by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA Public Union. The program aims to prevent illegal tree cutting in Azerbaijan, particularly in Baku. For this purpose, the "Nature Emergency Aid" hotline (1113) and mobile team have been established.
