The “7 Wonders of Azerbaijan” television project has been launched.

On May 28, a presentation ceremony was held for the new television project titled “7 Wonders of Azerbaijan,” launched in Icherisheher with the joint support of the IDEA Public Union and “Nature and History Production.”
The “7 Wonders of Azerbaijan” project, the first of its kind in the country, aims to foster patriotism in society, preserve our national, cultural, and historical heritage, study and research controversial and distorted facts of Azerbaijani history against the backdrop of historical monuments of the era, and draw attention to the promotion, protection, and restoration of historical, cultural, and natural sites located within the country.
Additionally, the project seeks to promote Azerbaijan’s historical, cultural, and natural treasures both domestically and internationally, thereby boosting local and foreign tourism as well as the development of infrastructure in those areas.
The event, attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, as well as public and political figures, representatives of foreign embassies, scientists, renowned cultural and art professionals, and other specialists, was marked by many engaging moments. The specially prepared venue, reflecting the essence of the project, featured decorations showcasing our history and clothing representing our spiritual values, which drew particular attention. In addition, a castle model and large stones with human depictions created within the venue’s interior evoked completely different feelings and connected guests to the past upon entering.
Speakers at the event included Hikmat Nagdaliyev, head of “Nature and History Production,” Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Sevda Mammadaliyeva, Deputy Minister of Culture, academic Yaqub Mahmudov, Director of the Institute of History of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who all shared their thoughts on the project.
