For the first time in Baku, the international "Green Week" will be held.

From November 12 to 16, the international "Green Week" project will be launched in Azerbaijan for the first time, jointly organized by the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign and UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme).
The event is expected to host local guests as well as representatives of a number of international organizations invited from abroad, along with representatives of state and non-governmental organizations and young leaders.
On the first day of the event, an international youth forum will be organized. The forum will mainly focus on discussions related to the outcomes of the RIO+20 summit held in June 2012.
On the second day of the event, UNEP plans to hold, for the first time not only in Azerbaijan but in the Caucasus region as a whole, a meeting of major European ecological groups and stakeholders with the participation of more than 50 foreign representatives.
On November 14, a training program titled "Environmental Diplomacy" will be organized for the first time in our country at the green campus of the Azerbaijan Academy of Diplomacy. More than 300 young people are expected to participate in the training program, which will be held in the format of an open lecture.
On the fourth day of the "Green Week," a roundtable on the topic of green economy will take place with the participation of representatives of state bodies and international organizations. The project will conclude with a meeting of representatives from UNEP, as well as environmental and health ministries.
It should be noted that the IDEA campaign, initiated on July 12, 2011, by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, has implemented numerous local and international projects.
