The first tree-planting event for the autumn season of the Green Marathon was held in Baku.

Today, the founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, together with volunteers and representatives of Switzerland’s “Bioparc Genève” wildlife conservation organization, held the first tree-planting event of the autumn season for the #GreenMarathon in Baku. During the tree-planting event, 300 olive and pine trees were planted.

Last year, within the framework of the Green Marathon, 1 million trees were planted across the country. In 2022, in addition to planting a larger number of trees, the IDEA Public Union, in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, began creating green corridors and establishing tree plantations in areas with complex terrain.
