Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of IDEA, attended the opening of the first International Youth Photo Festival and Exhibition held under the slogan "The World Through the Eyes of Children."

The festival and exhibition, which will continue until May 14, are dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. The organizers of the festival and exhibition are the IDEA campaign and AINA World, a non-governmental organization founded by the renowned photographer Reza Deghati.

Initially, there was an introduction to the gravure exhibition held within the framework of the first International Youth Photo Festival and Exhibition.

The exhibition, showcasing works by artists from Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, and the United Kingdom, aims to promote ecological awareness.

Hosting this international festival in Baku, coinciding with the 90th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the traditional Flower Festival days, has provided a good opportunity for young talents to capture the beauties of ancient culture, magnificent architecture, and festivities through their cameras.

This festival-competition has created the chance to select the best 100 photographs. The competitions held under the slogans "I Love Nature" and "I Fear Pollution" have attracted the attention of thousands of young people from 90 countries around the world. The photo competition is considered the first international project that educates children on social and environmental issues through the language of photography.

Speaking at the first International Youth Photo Festival and Exhibition, Leyla Aliyeva, founder and initiator of IDEA, noted that our country is known for its amazing nature and fauna. She pointed out that, as in many areas of the country's life, development is also observed in the field of ecology.

This exhibition offers unique opportunities because photography further draws the attention of young people to environmental protection issues. Leyla Aliyeva emphasized that the photographs displayed at the exhibition reflect the perspectives of young people from 90 countries on environmental conservation and encourage concrete actions in this field. Greeting the guests in Azerbaijan, Leyla Aliyeva also noted that this exhibition-festival provides an opportunity to get to know our country more closely.
