Another magnificent cleaning campaign took place at Bilgah Beach

On September 24, in connection with the end of the beach season in the country, the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly organized another coastal cleanup campaign.

Approximately 100 volunteers participated in the campaign held at Bilgah Beach, following quarantine regulations. On the occasion of October 1 – “Prosecutors’ Professional Day,” volunteers acting as public assistants at the Prosecutor General's Office and prosecutorial staff also joined the campaign.

Organized under the slogan “Keep the Beaches Clean,” the main goal of the campaign at Bilgah Beach was to promote cleanliness along the seashores, prevent coastal areas from being littered with household waste, and engage all young people in the fight for the protection of the marine environment.

During the event, participants, equipped with necessary sanitary supplies, cleaned nearly 2 hectares of the beach from plastic and other household waste. To make the waste collection process more efficient, special equipment was brought to the area, and the collected waste was sorted and handed over to the company “AzEkol” for recycling.
