“Our Yard” - Binəqədi District, İ.Həşимов Street 8

On July 2, the opening ceremony of the next yard was held within the framework of the “Bizim həyət” project, implemented on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, aimed at improving courtyards in need of renovation.
The renovated yard at Binagadi district, I.Həşimov Street 8, covers the buildings where 2,000 residents live.
The main goal of the “Bizim həyət” project is to make Baku’s courtyards environmentally clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the next courtyard improved within the framework of the project, the movement of persons with disabilities and those with limited mobility was taken into account, and in order to create favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups and to ensure efficient leisure time for young people, 1 mini football pitch, a chess area, 4 sports facilities, a playground for children, and 16 benches were installed in the area. The main purpose of creating such areas is to help young people maintain a healthy lifestyle, strengthen their health, spend their free time effectively, and develop a habit of engaging in regular sports activities.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, new lighting poles were installed, the facades and entrances of the buildings were fully repaired and handed over for their use. Along with the restoration of existing greenery in the courtyard, an additional 50 trees were planted and a 1,735 sq.m green zone was established.
The yard put into use for residents in the Binagadi district is the twenty-fifth yard improved within the framework of the project.
It is planned to implement this project in all districts of Baku. In this regard, it is requested to submit information and recommendations about courtyards in need of improvement in our capital to the IDEA Public Union.
