The next yard renovated within the framework of the "Our Yard" project has been opened for residents' use.
The "Our Yard" project, aimed at the improvement of neglected yards, continues successfully with the joint organization of IDEA Public Union and the "Cavan" Youth Movement Public Union, and with the support of district executive authorities in Baku city.
On March 19, the next yard renovated within the framework of the "Our Yard" project was handed over for residents' use. The renewed yard covers four multi-storey buildings housing 252 families on Abbasqulu Abbaszade Street in the Sabail district.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to model ecologically clean and well-maintained yards, restore greenery, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
With the support of the Sabail District Executive Authority, the yard, covering an area of 1.8 hectares, has been equipped with playground equipment to provide a favorable environment for children of all age groups, as well as a small field with a football pitch and sports equipment. The primary aim of establishing such playgrounds is to encourage young people to lead a healthy lifestyle, strengthen their health, spend their leisure time effectively, and develop a habit of engaging in regular physical activity. The large chessboard created in the yard has also attracted great interest from residents, especially the youth.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, the facades and entrances of the multi-storey buildings have been fully renovated and handed over for use. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 100 additional trees have been planted.
It should be noted that the "Our Yard" project was initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of IDEA Public Union. The first yard renovated within the project was on Huseyn Seyidzade Street in the Nasimi district and was handed over for residents' use on December 23 of last year.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and suggestions regarding yards in the capital that require improvement are requested to be submitted to IDEA Public Union.
