Next Yard Opening within the “Bizim Həyət” Project

The renovated yard covers multi-storey buildings at 84B and 84V Məmmədəli Şərifli Street in the Nizami district of Baku, where 600 residents live.
The main goal of the “Our Yard” project is to make yards across the country environmentally clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the pillar of urban ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the next renovated yard, consideration was given to the easy movement of people with disabilities and limited health abilities, creating favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, providing youth with opportunities for productive leisure, and fostering the habit of systematic sports. To achieve this, a mini football stadium with artificial turf, various sports facilities, and children's playgrounds were installed. At the same time, 5 gazebos, numerous benches, waste bins, bird nests, and cat houses were set up in the area.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of residents, new lighting poles and surveillance cameras were installed in the yard, the facades and blocks of the buildings were fully renovated, the asphalt and roof covering were renewed, and the electrical system was reconstructed.
In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 1,300 trees of various species and 4,500 bushes were planted, and a 4,000-square-meter green zone was created. Moreover, 2,000 ivy and other climbing plants were planted around the yard, creating “green barriers” against air pollution.
Gulzar Kələntərli, an Honored Teacher and resident of the yard, said that the yard was neglected before the renovation. “Now, all conditions have been created in our yard for rest and spending our time effectively. On behalf of all residents of our yard, I express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, and the founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva,” G. Kələntərli said.
Another resident of the yard, Sima Yusifova, said that the neglected yard had turned into a real paradise: “Today, our joy has no bounds. I thank everyone who contributed to turning our neighborhood into a paradise.”
Within the framework of the “Our Yard” project, it is requested to submit information and recommendations regarding the improvement of common residential yards to IDEA Public Union.
