“Next yard opening within the “Our Yard” project”

On April 28, within the framework of the "Our Yard" project initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the third yard in the city of Shirvan was renovated and opened for residents’ use.

The renovated yard covers buildings located at 3 Istiglaliyyat Street and 1 and 2 20 Yanvar Street in Shirvan city, where more than 650 residents live.

In the renovated yard, the mobility needs of people with disabilities and limited health capabilities were taken into account. Various sports facilities and children’s playgrounds were created to provide favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, to ensure the productive use of youth leisure time, and to cultivate the habit of regular physical activity.

Within the 1.2-hectare yard area, 2 gazebos were constructed, benches and waste bins were installed.

Considering the wishes and interests of the residents, lighting and irrigation systems were installed in the yard, and the facades and entrances of the buildings were repaired. In addition to restoring the existing greenery, 520 trees and shrubs were planted, and a green belt was created.

The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make yards ecologically clean and well-maintained, to restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, to promote a healthy lifestyle, and to create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
