“Our Yard” - Nasimi District, A. Aliyev 5, 5A, 7, 9 and S. Rahman Street 2a

Within the framework of the "Our Yard" project, implemented on the initiative of Leyla Əliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the next renovated yard has been opened for residents’ use.
The renovated yard covers the buildings at 5, 5A, 7, 9 Azər Əliyev Street and 2a Sabit Rəhman Street in Baku’s Nasimi district, where 1,000 residents live.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku’s yards ecologically clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
In the newly renovated yard, the movement of people with disabilities and limited health capacities has been taken into account. Various sports equipment, football fields, chess areas, and playgrounds for children have been established to provide a favorable environment for children’s development across all age groups, enable youths to spend their leisure time effectively, and develop a reflex for regular physical activity. Five conversation areas have been constructed in the new yard, and benches and waste bins have been installed.
Taking residents’ wishes and interests into account, new elevators, lighting poles, and security cameras have been installed in the yard. The facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been completely renovated, and an electromagnetic card access system has been applied to the blocks. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 30 additional trees have been planted, and a green strip covering 2,000 square meters has been created.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations regarding yards in the capital that require renovation are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
