"Our yard" - Nasimi district, Javadkhan street
On July 8, a new courtyard opening ceremony was held within the framework of the “Bizim həyət” project, implemented on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, aimed at improving courtyards in need of renovation.
Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, participated in the opening of the courtyard, as well as in the tree planting held during the event.
The renovated courtyard covers the buildings located at Nasimi district, Moscow Avenue 46, 48, and Cavadhkan Street 1, where 2000 residents live.
The main goal of the “Bizim həyət” project is to ensure the ecological cleanliness and improvement of Baku courtyards, restore the greenery that forms the backbone of the city's ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the newly improved courtyard, conditions were made for the comfortable movement of people with disabilities and limited mobility, and in order to create a favorable environment for the development of children of all age groups and to ensure that young people spend their leisure time effectively, 1 mini football field, 1 chess area, sports equipment, a playground for children, 8 seating pavilions and benches were installed. The main purpose of creating such areas is to encourage young people to lead a healthy lifestyle, strengthen their health, spend their free time efficiently, and develop a habit of engaging in regular sports activities.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, new lighting poles were installed, and the facades and entrances of the buildings were fully renovated and handed over for their use. Along with restoring the existing greenery in the courtyard, an additional 80 trees were planted and a green zone was created over an area of 6000 sq.m.
The courtyard put into use for residents in the Nasimi district is the twenty-seventh courtyard improved within the framework of the project.
It is planned to implement this project in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about courtyards in need of improvement in our capital are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
