“Our Yard” - Nasimi District, H.Seyidzade Street

On 4 July, within the framework of the "Bizim həyət" project carried out on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, another renovated courtyard was opened for residents.

The renewed courtyard covers the buildings located at 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 H.Seyidzadə Street, Nasimi District, where 1200 residents live.

The main goal of the "Bizim həyət" project is to ensure that Baku courtyards are ecologically clean and well-maintained, to restore greenery that forms the pillar of the city's ecology, to promote a healthy lifestyle, and to create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the next courtyard renovated within the project, the mobility needs of disabled persons and people with limited health capabilities were taken into account, and to create favourable conditions for children of all age groups and to ensure that young people spend their leisure time effectively, 1 mini football field, 2 chess areas, 3 seating pavilions, sports equipment designed for different age groups, a children's playground and benches were installed.

The main purpose of constructing sports facilities and playgrounds is to support young people in leading a healthy lifestyle, strengthening their health, spending their free time effectively, and developing a reflex for systematic engagement in sports.

Taking into account the wishes and interests of residents, new lighting poles were installed, and the facades and entrance areas of the buildings were fully renovated and handed over for their use. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the courtyard area, 100 additional trees were planted and a green zone was created over an area of 5000 sq.m.

The courtyard commissioned for residents in the Nasimi District is the twenty-sixth courtyard renovated within the project.

It is planned to implement this project in all districts of Baku. In this regard, it is requested that information and recommendations on courtyards in need of improvement in our capital be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
