"Our Yard" - Nizami District, 8th km, Nakhchivanski Street (78-94b)

On December 14, within the framework of the “Our Yard” project initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the next renovated yard was opened for residents’ use.
The renovated yard covers buildings located at 78, 80, 86, 94, 94A, and 94B Nakhchivanski Street, 8th km, Nizami district of Baku, housing nearly 1,500 residents.
The main goal of the “Our Yard” project is to make Baku’s yards ecologically clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the newly renovated yard, the ease of movement for people with disabilities and limited health abilities has been considered. Facilities have been created to support children’s development across all age groups, including football and basketball courts, various sports equipment, a bicycle path, a chess area, and playgrounds for children to help young people spend their free time productively and develop a habit of systematic sports. Seven pavilions have been built in the yard, and benches, trash bins, birdhouses, and cat houses have been installed.
Taking into account residents’ requests and interests, new lighting poles have been installed, the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been fully renovated, and security cameras have been set up. Alongside the restoration of existing greenery in the yard, and in compliance with special quarantine rules, a total of 350 trees, numerous bushes and flowers have been planted, and a green area covering 1,500 square meters has been created.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, residents are requested to provide information and recommendations about yards in the capital that need renovation to the IDEA Public Union.
