With the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, another renovated courtyard has been opened for residents within the framework of the “Bizim həyət” project.

The renewed courtyard covers buildings No. 88, 90, and 92 located on Jamshed Nakhchivanski Street in the Nizami district, where nearly 1500 residents live.

The main purpose of the “Bizim həyət” project is to make Baku’s courtyards environmentally clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the next renovated courtyard, the movement of people with limited physical abilities has been taken into account, and various sports facilities, a football field, a chess area, and a children’s playground have been installed to create favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, ensure the effective leisure time of young people, and encourage them to engage in regular sports activities.

At the same time, 8 pergolas have been built in the area, and benches and waste bins have been installed.

Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, new lighting poles and security cameras have been installed in the courtyard, and the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been fully repaired. Along with the restoration of existing greenery in the courtyard, an additional 30 trees have been planted in compliance with the special quarantine regime rules, and a green strip has been laid over an area of 1330 square meters.

In the renewed courtyard, medical and preventive measures have been carried out in accordance with the requirements of the quarantine period, disinfection dispensers have been placed, and educational boards warning about adherence to quarantine rules have been installed.

It is planned to implement this project in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about courtyards in need of improvement in the capital are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
