“Our yard” - Nizami district, Qara Qarayev Avenue 71, 73

Heydər Əliyev Foundation’s Vice-President, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Əliyeva has initiated the “Bizim həyət” project, within the framework of which another renovated courtyard has been opened for residents.
The renewed courtyard covers the buildings located at 71 and 73 Qara Qarayev Avenue, Nizami district of Baku, where 500 residents live.
The main goal of the “Bizim həyət” project is to make Baku courtyards environmentally clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that serves as a pillar of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the newly renovated courtyard, accessibility for people with disabilities and limited mobility has been ensured; various sports facilities, football fields, chess areas, playgrounds for children of all age groups, and a bicycle path have been built to create favorable conditions for children’s development, ensure efficient leisure time for young people, and foster a habit of systematic sports activities. Two gazebos have been constructed in the courtyard area, and benches and waste bins have been installed.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of residents, new lighting poles and fire hydrants have been installed, and the facades, roofs, and entrance areas of the buildings have been fully renovated. An electromagnetic card entry system has been introduced for the building blocks. Alongside the restoration of existing greenery in the courtyard, an additional 45 trees have been planted and a green zone covering 800 square meters has been established.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations on courtyards in need of renovation in our capital are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
