"Our Yard" - Nizami district, R. Rustamov and Gara Garayev

On November 5, the next yard renovated within the framework of the "Our Yard" project by the IDEA Public Union, aimed at improving courtyards in need of repair, was opened for residents' use.
It covers four buildings located at R. Rustamov 35, 37, 39, and Gara Garayev Avenue 63 in the Nizami district, housing 950 residents.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku's courtyards ecologically clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city's ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the renovated yard, accessibility for people with disabilities and limited mobility has been considered, and favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups have been created. To ensure that youth spend their leisure time productively and develop a habit of regular sports, a mini football field with an artificial surface, a chess area, various sports facilities, and a playground have been established. Additionally, eight conversation pavilions have been built, and benches and trash bins installed.
Taking into account the residents' wishes and interests, new lighting poles have been installed in the yard, the building facades, roofs, and entrances fully renovated, and new iron gates installed for the blocks. Alongside the restoration of existing greenery, 50 additional trees and shrubs have been planted, and a green strip has been created over 3,000 sq.m. Furthermore, surveillance cameras have been installed to ensure residents' safety.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations regarding courtyards in the capital that require improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
