“Our Yard” - Pirallahi District, S.Baghirov Street

The "Our Yard" project, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, aimed at the improvement of neglected yards, continues successfully.
On February 11, the next renovated yard within the framework of the project was opened for use by the residents.
The newly renovated yard covers four buildings located at 1, 2a, 8, and 16 S. Baghirov Street in the Pirallahi district, housing 400 residents.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku’s yards environmentally clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the next improved yard, the movement of people with disabilities and limited health capabilities has been considered, conditions favorable for the development of children of all age groups have been created, and various sports facilities, a football goal, a chess area, and a playground have been installed to ensure that young people spend their free time effectively and develop a habit of regular sports activities.
At the same time, three conversation areas have been built, and benches and waste bins have been installed.
Taking into account the desires and interests of the residents, new lighting poles have been installed in the yard, and the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been fully renovated. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 150 additional trees and shrubs have been planted, and a 3,000 sq.m. green zone has been created.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about the yards in our capital that require improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
