“Our Yard” - Garadagh District, M. Seyidov and A. Gulbabayev Streets.
The "Our Yard" project, aimed at the improvement of neglected courtyards, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Association, continues successfully.
On January 4, the next courtyard renovated within the framework of the "Our Yard" project was opened for residents. The renovated yard covers buildings housing nearly 4,000 residents at the following addresses in the Garadagh district: Sahil settlement, M. Seyidov Street 13, 16; A. Gulbabayev Street 14, 16, 18, 20.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to model ecologically clean and well-maintained courtyards, restore greenery, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
In the renovated courtyard with an area of 25,600 m², designed under the "Our Yard" project, consideration was given to the mobility of people with disabilities and limited health capabilities, and favorable conditions were created for the development of children of all age groups. The courtyard includes 3 children's play elements, a 460 m² mini football field, a 140 m² sports and fitness area, a 35 m² chess playground, 3 mobile bookcases, a 350-seat charity house, and 6 conversation spots. The primary purpose of creating such spaces is to encourage young people to lead a healthy lifestyle, strengthen their health, spend their free time productively, and develop a habit of engaging in systematic sports.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of residents, the facades and entrances of the buildings were fully renovated and made available for use. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 515 trees and shrubs were planted. Furthermore, 8 surveillance cameras were installed to ensure the safety of residents.
This is the thirteenth courtyard renovated for residents in the Garadagh district under the project.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about courtyards in the capital that require improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Association.
