“Our yard” - sabunchu district, adil alibabayev street

Under the initiative of Leyla Əliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the next renovated courtyard has been opened for residents’ use within the framework of the "Our Yard" project.

The renovated yard covers buildings No. 1-5, located on Adil Əlibabayev Street in the Sabunçu district of Baku, housing nearly 1,300 residents.

The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku’s courtyards environmentally clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the next renovated yard, the movement of people with disabilities and limited health capabilities has been taken into account. Various sports facilities, football fields, chess areas, playgrounds for children, and a bicycle path have been created to provide favorable conditions for children’s development, ensure youth spend their leisure time productively, and foster a habit of regular exercise. Eight gazebos have been built, and benches and trash bins have been installed in the new yard area.

Taking into account the wishes and interests of residents, new elevators, lighting poles, and fire hydrants have been installed, and the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been repaired. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 30 new trees have been planted, and a green strip covering 2,000 sq.m. has been created.

The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and suggestions about courtyards in the capital that need renovation are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
