"Our Yard" - Sabunçu District, Bakikhanov Settlement

Yonu, Bakixanov settlement, at 4090/94 address, encompasses four buildings housing 1,500 residents.

The main goal of the “Our Yard” project is to ecologically clean and improve Baku’s yards, restore greenery that forms the pillar of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the next renovated yard, the movement of people with disabilities and limited health abilities has been taken into account. Conditions have been created for the development of children of all age groups, the effective spending of free time by young people, and the formation of a habit of systematic sports through the installation of a mini football field with artificial covering, a chess area, various sports equipment, a playground, and a bicycle path.

At the same time, five gazebos have been built in the area, numerous benches and trash bins have been installed.

Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, new lighting poles have been installed in the yard, the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been fully renovated, and new iron gates and plastic windows have been installed in the blocks. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 50 additional trees and shrubs have been planted, and a 2,150 sq.m green area has been created. Furthermore, surveillance cameras have been installed to ensure the safety of residents.

This is the thirty-second yard renovated under the yard project made available for residents in the Sabunchu district.

The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and suggestions regarding yards in the capital that require improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
