Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, another renovated courtyard has been opened for residents within the framework of the “Bizim həyət” project.

The renewed courtyard covers buildings No.1–13 on Samir Jafarov Street in the Garachukhur settlement of Surakhani district, Baku city, where more than 4,000 residents live.

The main goal of the “Bizim həyət” project is to make Baku’s courtyards environmentally clean and well-maintained, to restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city's ecology, to promote a healthy lifestyle, and to create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

In the newly renovated courtyard, the movement needs of people with disabilities and limited mobility have been taken into account. Various sports facilities, chess areas, children's playgrounds, and a bicycle path have been installed to create favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, ensure efficient leisure time for young people, and encourage the habit of regular sports activities. Twelve pergolas have been built in the new courtyard area, and benches and waste bins have been installed.

Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, new elevators, lighting poles, and fire hydrants have been installed, while the facades, roofs, and entrance sections of the buildings have been fully renovated. Along with restoring the existing greenery in the courtyard, an additional 30 trees have been planted and a 2,500-square-meter green zone has been created.

It is planned to implement this project in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about courtyards in need of renovation in our capital are kindly requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
