Within the framework of the "Our Yard" project, implemented at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, another renovated yard has been opened for residents’ use.

The renovated yard covers buildings No. 1–5 in the Yeni Günəşli “V” residential area of Surakhani district, Baku city, where 1,814 residents live.

The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to ecologically clean and improve Baku’s yards, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

In the newly renovated yard, accessibility for people with disabilities and limited mobility has been ensured; favorable conditions have been created for the development of children of all age groups; various sports facilities, football fields, chess areas, and playgrounds for children have been established to provide productive leisure activities for youth and cultivate the habit of systematic exercise. Eleven gazebos have been built in the yard, and benches and trash bins have been installed.

Taking into account residents’ needs and interests, security cameras, new lighting poles, and fire hydrants have been installed; building facades, roofs, and entrance areas have been fully renovated, and an electromagnetic card access system has been applied to the blocks. Along with restoring existing greenery in the yard, an additional 300 trees have been planted, and a 1,650 sq.m. green area has been established.

The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about yards in the capital that require renovation are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
