"Our Yard" - Khatai district, Ilgar Zulfugarov Street

Within the framework of the "Our Yard" project by the IDEA Public Union, aimed at improving courtyards in need of renovation, the next renewed yard has been opened for residents' use.

Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, attended the opening of the yard.

During the event, various entertainment programs were presented for children. At the same time, the newly established playground, interesting attractions, slides, and swings brought great joy to the children. During the event, animated characters (mascots) and animators also joined, allowing children to meet their favorite characters and have fun with them.

In addition to celebrating their holiday with lots of entertainment, the children showcased their talents and skills by performing songs and dances.

It should be noted that the renovated yard covers four nine-story buildings located at 107, 109, 111, and 113 Ilgar Zulfugarov Street in the Khatai district, where nearly 2,000 residents live.

In the next renovated yard, consideration was given to the ease of movement for disabled and mobility-impaired individuals. Facilities were created for children of all age groups to develop and for youth to spend their free time effectively, including one mini football field, one chess area, sports equipment, four seating areas, and benches. The main goal of establishing such playgrounds is to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, strengthen their health, provide opportunities for effective leisure, and instill a habit of regular physical activity.

Taking into account residents' requests and interests, new lighting poles were installed, and the building facades and entrances were fully renovated and opened for use. In addition to restoring existing greenery in the yard, 100 additional trees were planted and a green strip of 3,000 sq.m. was established.

This yard is the twenty-fourth courtyard in the Khatai district to be improved and opened for residents within the framework of the project.

The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to ecologically and aesthetically improve Baku’s courtyards, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. Accordingly, information and recommendations regarding courtyards in the capital that need renovation are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
