"Our Yard" - Khatai District, M. Rustamov Street 12

The "Our Yard" project, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, aimed at the renovation and beautification of neglected yards, continues successfully.

On March 14, the next yard renovated within the framework of the "Our Yard" project was opened for residents. The renewed yard covers buildings at 12 M. Rustamov Street in the Khatai district, home to 1,200 residents.

The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku’s yards environmentally clean and well-maintained, restore greenery that forms the backbone of the city’s ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

In the next renovated yard, consideration was given to the mobility needs of people with disabilities and limited health capabilities. Facilities were created for the development of children of all age groups and for the productive leisure of youth, including one mini football field, six sports devices, a children’s playground, and eighteen benches. The main goal of establishing such facilities is to encourage young people to lead a healthy lifestyle, strengthen their health, spend their free time productively, and develop a habit of regular physical activity.

Taking into account the desires and interests of residents, new lighting poles were installed, and the facades and entrances of buildings were fully renovated and made available for use. In addition to restoring existing greenery in the yard, 100 new trees were planted and a green area covering 3,000 sq.m was created.

The yard in the Khatai district opened for residents is the twentieth yard renovated within the framework of the project.

The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations regarding yards in the capital that require renovation are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
